二通阀和三通阀的区别在于它们的管路连接方式和功能不同。

1、 Differences in pipeline connection methods between two-way valves and three-way valves

A two-way valve has two pipes and can only connect either of them. Its pipeline connection method can be straight through or angular.

A three-way valve has three pipes, and any two of the three pipes can be connected, or all three pipes can be connected together. Its pipeline connection method can be T-shaped or Y-shaped.

2、 The functional differences between two-way valves and three-way valves

Two way valves are generally used to control the flow of liquid or gas in a single pipeline, serving to cut off or open the flow.

A three-way valve can control the flow between two pipelines, and the flow ratio between the two pipelines can be changed by adjusting the position of the valve. Meanwhile, three-way valves can also be used to mix fluids from two pipelines together or divert fluids from one pipeline to two different pipelines.

Application field

Two way ball valve: commonly used in fields such as HVAC, refrigeration systems, petrochemicals, etc. that require simple on-off control.

Three way ball valve: widely used in systems that require diversion or merging, such as chemical processes, water treatment, food processing, etc.

Performance Characteristics

Two way ball valve: low fluid resistance, reliable sealing, easy operation, suitable for high flow applications.

Three way ball valve: With more flexible fluid control capabilities, it can achieve multiple flow direction switching and is suitable for complex pipeline layouts.

Selection basis

Two way ball valve: suitable for systems that only require simple on-off control and have a simple structure.

Three way ball valve: suitable for complex systems that require diversion, merging, or changing flow direction.
